Unlike other shooters, where rank is only for show of, MAG utilizes a rank based chain of command. Each leadership position has their own team bonuses and tools. In order to be an effective leader you need to know your abilities as a squad leader, platoon leader and oic. You can look for more info at the guides forum. Because of this you need to act as a real leader in order to take your team to victory. Because MAG is objective based and kills do not count for victory your team needs to act aggressively if you want to take the objectives. Hiding and sniping will not help your team.

There are too many players that can not follow orders, don't know the game, or are too scare to push forward. Playing with random blue dots should be avoided. The best way to avoid this is playing with a clan. Group up with people that know the game and are not afraid of giving/following instructions, help each other and move towards the objective.

A good clan should :

-have members with microphones

-know each other and act together

-know the game

-keep looking for new members and teach others

-have a variation of load outs for the different modes and squad needs

Playing with a group will make it easier to level up and win battles and can motivate players in to playing longer
